Sleep is important for children of all ages. But it’s especially important for helping kids maintain a healthy weight. Sleep helps regulate appetite and hormones that control hunger and satiety (feeling full after eating).
It also helps the body metabolize food properly and use energy from food more efficiently. Without enough sleep, those processes become disrupted, which can cause weight gain or weight loss resistance.
Don’t Let Your Child Spend Too Much Time Staring At A Screen
Don’t let your kid spend too much time in front of a device. Children who spend a lot of time watching TV or playing video games are less active and more likely to be overweight than children who don’t watch as much TV or play video games.
Children Should Eat Breakfast Daily

Children Should Eat A Variety Of Foods
The best way to ensure that your child is getting the nutrients he or she needs is by offering a variety of healthy foods at meal times. Make sure your child’s diet includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins in moderation. Remember to avoid sugary snacks and limit soda consumption as much as possible.
